MTR has new options to automatically collect your copy counts!

Get instructions and submit meter counts for your machine here!

Select your machine from the drop down list below to get instructions on collecting meter counts for your device. This tool requires the use of pop up windows. When prompted please always allow pop ups from MTR and re-select your model number to open the instructions in a new window. You may save and print these directions for future reference. More models are added weekly so check back often. To request models be added, contact us HERE.

 

Are you bothered by collecting the copy counts of your print devices?

MTR has been evaluating different options for you to submit your copy counts in ways that make it easier on you. We have listed the available options below for your reference. You are urged to take advantage of out PrintTracker system outlined in Option 3 below as a safe, free, and no hassle way to automate the meter count reporting process while adding a powerful suite of tools to help you streamline your digital document output devices.

Option 1:    GOOD

 Manual Collection

Wait for MTR to call and request copy counts, manually gather them, and then report back to MTR with the results.

PROS:

  • Familiar with this system
  • Not too hard to train others
  • Don't mind the interruptions
  • Get to play lots of phone tag

    CONS:

    • Time Consuming and tedious
    • Limited information is obtained
    • No toner or error reports obtained
    • Must play lots of phone tag

SOLUTION:

Option 2:    BETTER

 Auto Device Reporting

Let MTR set up your device(s) to send periodic reports to us via e-mail. This depends on you network configuration.

PROS:

  • Uses built in reporting function
  • Provides automatic reporting

    CONS:

    • IT charge for initial setup
    • Not available on many devices
    • IT charge for reconfiguring
    • Relies on client's mail server
    • Bombarded by noncritical reports
    • Sporadic performance issues

Option 3:    BEST

Install and run a small, secure program that monitors all of your networked print devices and automatically sends reports.
